Maryland take to the Maracycle
The route was quite a bit different from the old Maracycle-this included a punishing section of 6 miles rolling hills at the 80 mile mark. The route was 112 miles and 6 Maryland Members took part in the 2 day event. Drew,Hamilton,Darrin,Gary,Julie and David.
Various groups formed during the day with many cyclists electing to ride at their own pace. The University accomodation was excellent as was the organisation and back up. The pace felt like a club run for a lot of the time but there was time to chat to strangers along the way -which i believe to be the origonal ethos of the maracycle.
