This may be of interest to us all at sometime?
The CTC have built a site to record cycling collisions, close shaves and how the justice system subsequently responds.
http://www.stop-smidsy.org.uk/
The idea is to build a knowledge base which will inform policy and policy makers to make roads safer
Locally fatality rates for cycling by distance travelled is over 4 times that of the Netherlands.
The CTC wants to change policy toward risk exposure away from crude target setting. Currently targets on reducing cycling fatalies does little to make the roads safer for cycling
The more road cycling is suppressed the more easily targets are reached and the roads are no safer
