Reliability Trial, March 17th, Crumlin

Cycling Ulster Youth cyclists along with their friends & families are invited and welcome to a Youth Reliability Trial on St Patrick's Day, 17th March. This new venture is sponsored and hosted by the David McCall Foundation which works to help support grass roots cycling in Ulster.

This event will take the form of 2 routes of 50 miles for the 15 & 16 age group and 40 miles for the 12 – 14 age group, riders and families will be welcome to sign on from 09.30 for the 2 start times of 10.00 and 10.05, both routes will be marked, marshalled and escorted by senior cyclists who will assist and advise the boys and girls throughout the event. Sign-on for the event will be in the Crumlin Community Centre.

We hope and feel that it is important that the young riders’ families will come along also to meet each other and support them and the foundation. There will be changing and shower facilities plus refreshments available on the day and we ask for an entry fee of £5 per cyclist to cover expenses.

All riders should have their CI licence or confirmation of their application and of course suitable clothing for the day, a roadworthy bike and of course a helmet.

We stress that all taking part must obey the rules of the road, be aware of the Highway Code which refers to cyclists and you must not cross the centre white line.

We would also ask everyone interested in taking part to respond to this invitation so we can estimate numbers for the cycle and for the catering.
