Maryland Wheelers is an open and friendly cycling club based in the city of Lisburn, although we attract members from much of the surrounding area. The club was founded in 1930. Our primary focus is on road cycling and within our 44 strong membership of both young and old we have a mix of ability and ambition. Maryland caters for a variety of cycling needs from the social leisure cyclist, to the challenge seeking sportive rider, to the more competitive road racer / timetriallist and in more recent years those from the sporting discipline of triathlon. We enjoy a full inter club league racing calendar which runs from April to September. Our club offers regular organised, social rides and training runs with a firm emphasis on safe cycling. There is a wealth of cycling knowledge and support on offer to cyclists of all ages and abilities within our club. Although our club has a competitive edge we have never lost our sense of humour and we all enjoy a laugh;so if you enjoy a laugh, can take and give a bit of stick we might be the club for you. Club runs take place every Monday,Wednesday,Saturday,Sunday.
